Day 11 – biohacking mishaps
Ooof…. yesterday was rough. I was kinda scared that I would still wake up with that weird pressure around my eyes. It was hard being at work like that because it was hard to think, I felt really tired & it made my eyes blurry, especially when I looked up. I was pondering, have I taken this cryo experiment & my need for biohacking too far??? oops!
Thankfully, I felt much better upon waking & then I went off to see my practitioner. I explained to him what happened & he did some acupuncture on the muscle over the sphenoid bone (skull) which relieved a lot of the pressure around the eyes and then I felt even better. Through kinesiology we also established that the cryotherapy ‘tipped’ me over the edge with it’s detoxing abilities. Good to know that the cryo is working, but there’s a fine balance between knowing how much to push, especially if you have a lot going on in your body. But I keep forgetting that…I have a habit of going too hard 🙂
I have to say, this pressure in my head freaked me out a bit, so I will definitely be more cautious & listen to my body. It’s no use pushing yourself so hard that you can’t keep doing what you set out to do – REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT!!! I cancelled my cryo session for tonight, just to give my body a chance to rest & work through the healing process.
I don’t feel too bad tonight. I’ll go to be early & get a good night’s sleep. I’m going back to my practitioner tomorrow for another acupuncture session and alignment.
Take caution when biohacking
Make sure you take heed when conducting your own biohacking experiments. I’ve had many gone awry & sometimes they have affected me for months!! It can be serious…it IS serious when you are messing around with your body. Always consult with a practitioner before & during biohacking experiments. In this instance, it’s not so much that I’m using the cryo sauna, but I am going to a session nearly every day & with my joint pain, inflammation, leaky gut, blastocystis parasite and migraine’s, there is already so much going on in my body and the cryotherapy is accelerating the removal of toxins which can be uncomfortable. I didn’t actually think this would happen from the cryotherapy, but it just so happens that this is how my body is reacting…so I’m listening and I will take it a bit slower. It’s all part of the biohacking journey!
Enjoy & I’ll keep you posted
